My friends say that I hate on Drake, but I really don’t. The kid has talent, and he is a great rapper. However, I do think that his personal style can use some major improvements and Degrassi wasn’t really my shit. Does that make me a hater? Anyways, here is Drake’s first single from his upcoming album, Thank Me Later titled “Over“. This joint rocks, and it’s crazy but even though it just dropped its already getting mad air time on the radio. The record is produced by Boi-1da, and you can download it below by clicking the image or by clicking HERE.
Coming at you with a couple videos for two great Wayne tracks. The videos for both are pretty dope. Up first we got the Yo Gotti and Wayne joint. This song is definitely a banger, and I know I’m not the only one who turns up the volume every time I hear this song. The video came out clean, that static effect they used on the verses were dope. I feel like not just any song could pull off that effect but this song goes so hard that it does, perfectly. Peep the video below.
Up next is another banger. This one is the Drop the World track featuring Eminem, off of Lil Wayne’s “Rebirth.” This one is one of Wayne’s deeper and all around better tracks from the album. Wayne and Em killed this one. The video is crazy, but what’s the deal with all these End-of-the-World themed music videos I keep seeing lately? If you believe all that Illuminati in hip hop business then I know this one has you trippin’. The sickest line he has in this song goes “I know what they don’t wanna tell you, just hope you’re heaven sent and ya hell proof.” He must know some CRAZY shit then. So check out the video below.
Both of these tracks are sick, and both the videos are on point. We all should know by now that the Young Money camp doesn’t drop anything half-assed in the first place. So shout out to them, they are by far the biggest example of how hard work can pay off. Emphasis on the word pay. Be on the lookout for future posts, as we do our part in supporting good music.
Today I accidentally sat on my glasses. As you can guess my frames got bent out of shape. I tried to bend them back, but there was only so much I could do. So I decided that it was time for me to start looking for a new pair. Soon after, I remember reading about a company that was referred to as “The Netflix of Eyewear” by GQ mag. Warby Parker brand prescription glasses. I was browsing their site and I gotta say I’m impressed.
Warby Parker was founded by four students who met at Wharton Business School, and trust me when I say they are revolutionizing how you buy eyewear. Their styles are clean cut, and their prices are less then what you’d expect. Prices are actually pretty affordable ($95 to be exact). What really stands out about them is what gave them the title of “Netflix of eyewear,” it’s called “Home Try-On.” They give you the option to try on up to 5 glasses at a time (from home) at no charge. When you decide which pair suits you best, you just send back all the samples, and they’ll return the pair you chose with the prescription lenses in place. Pretty fucking cool huh?
I just put in my order to get my 5 samples, as soon as I get them in the mail I will post some pictures. I will also let you all know which frame I actually get. In the meantime here are some shots taken from their site. If you’re ever in the same situation as me make sure to check them out at www.warbyparker.com, and check out some more pics after the jump and make sure you follow them on twitter.com/warbyparker
By the way, these are all the frames that they are sending to me for my Home Try-On.
Check out the music video for X.O.’s new single Blah Blah off of his one.one.ten album. Video shot and directed by 1st Impressions Studio. Shout out to Kenny Burns, Ricky Parker, and the whole Studio 43 family. Blah Blah and one.one.ten are both available for download below and make sure you hit Studio43.com to for any future updates. Hope you enjoy the video!
This is a public service announcement. We are still working, and working hard at that. Unfortunately, the site hasn’t been updated in a while due to all the moves and changes we have been planning. After much talk and deliberation, we here at No-Hypebeast are officially tired of “living everyday life” how everyone tells us. We are tired of being part of the system, and are ready to officially to say screw “The Man”. Life is too short to spend all your time at work, slaving for a couple bucks an hour, doing something you don’t particularly enjoy. The whole team is entirely devoted to bringing forth success to No Hypebeast, so believe me when I tell you, we are going to be making major changes (improvements).
The other day (feb 27th to be exact), the Nice Kicks store opened its doors. We want to give congrats to them for having done this. We know it wasn’t easy, so major props to them. However, the point of the matter is that now, more than ever, we are inspired and motivated enough to completely dedicate ourselves to bringing success to our site. So to all you guys that are loyal readers, its only right we fill you in on a few things we have in the works. We are currently working on redesigning the site, not in its entirety, but you know… a little something here and there to liven things up. We have also been planning an event for some time now and finally this is also in the horizon. You can also expect our store section to be updated soon (markdowns, more merchandise… the works).
By far the biggest thing we want to announce is that we have finally gained a sense of direction. We always knew what we wanted the site to become, but never really sat down to figure out how we are going to do it. So in this aspect we are taking a huge step forward and are going from being just another blog, to something bigger. MUCH BIGGER. I’m not saying what just yet simply because I’m not trying to jinx it. The only thing I can say is to be on the lookout.
So this is our promise to you and to ourselves, something new every day. Guaranteed. So check back in whenever you like, you already know where we’re going to be at. If you have any criticism or anything really, feel free to hit us up (check contact page) and we will be sure to take it into consideration. We feel bad at times, for having disappointed some people. By no means did we throw you under the bus. We know that in order to get love we need to show love, and we love all the people that have supported us since the start. So thanks for all your support, and believe when we say “We’re NOT loafing!”…at least not anymore.
